The Quarterbacks Hall of Fame

Among this football era, there has been speculation with the quarterbacks’ in the league and with who should be entered into the new Quarterbacks’ Hall of Fame. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Aaron Rodgers have been viewed as some of the top elite quarterbacks in the league. Over this era there has been records broken, super bowls won, MVP’s granted, among these players. But who could be granted into the hall of fame? Which players among these three have what it takes to take their team to the top? Breaking down the recent years these players have been in the league, most people would say Brady on top of course.
Peyton Manning, with only one super bowl under his belt, still impresses in today’s game. Peyton broke single season records along his way, but would struggle when it came to the AFC Conference Championship. Most of the time facing the New England Patriots would be viewed as the super bowl itself. Manning has been surrounded by fantastic receivers along with some lock down defense they would put out. Manning strives to come into Brady’s limelight but could only show out just once. Along with facing injuries and now speculating if he will return for the 2015 season, it’s questionable to even compare him to Brady.
Aaron Rodgers with only one super bowl win in his career along with Peyton. Aaron, bringing his team the playoffs plenty of times, couldn't show out and get to the big game multiple times. Aaron throughout his playoff pushes, only has an average passer rating of 101. Aaron also has been only (6-5) in his push with 23 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. Airing the ball out for a completion percentage of 65.37%, Aaron has shown his elite accuracy on the playing field.  With his young receivers developing on the current team, they will push to make another playoff run.
The man, the myth, the G.O.A.T. Tom Brady has shown his success throughout his career taking his team to the top a majority of the time. Ever since Brady’s first start he has taken off, bringing his team 4 Super Bowl victories, and receiving the Super Bowl MVP 3 out of 4 times. Brady has strives in 4th quarter pushes to put his team on top in the end. With only an average passer rating of 89 in the playoffs, Brady has thrown for over 7300 yards and bringing in 53 touchdowns. Some couldn't even compare the three, seeing how Brady has more super bowl wins than both of the “elite” quarterbacks combined. With Peyton and Brady aging, Brady is not ready to hang up his cleats. He still has about 3 or maybe even 4 years left in him. Peyton on the other hand endured injury at the end of the season. It’s questionable of his return. Brady has put on a show in his playoff campaigns, having the most playoff wins with 21. Tom’s only 21-8 in the playoffs with 62.95% of his passes completed.

Which elite quarterback should be entered into the Hall of Fame? Could you really argue a point in this comparison? Peyton has made single season records possible in his career with a fantastic passing effort in the last season. Aaron took his team to another NFC Championship game, showing they have weapons to make it to the top. Brady has 4 rings, 3 Super Bowl MVP's, and 21 post-season wins under his belt. That’s more super bowls than both of these quarterbacks combined. Is there still a Manning vs. Brady rivalry? That’s no longer in the question as Brady has shown he has what it takes to make it to the top, only being the 199th overall pick. A young buck out of California has brought the winning success to the eastern coast, driving the New England Patriots into a remarkable decade where anything can happen.
